About This Opportunity

The Participant and Family Development Practitioner supports and delivers development opportunities for participants and families across Wellways. Working within the participant and family engagement team, you will help strengthen self‐agency and recovery by supporting, improving, and delivering participant and family development initiatives.

In this role, you will:

* Work across Wellways to review development initiatives and ensure they meet the needs of participants, families, and different service types.
* Promote a strong, shared commitment to accessible, high‐quality initiatives that reflect participant and family goals.
* Help improve existing initiatives and co‐design new ones alongside participants and families.
* Support peer facilitators to confidently and effectively deliver initiatives.

Pre‐engagement Requirements

* Publicly disclosed lived experience of mental distress, disability or as a family/carer of someone with mental distress or disability
* Experience in designated lived experience role
* Lived expertise in organisational and system change
* 100 points of ID including evidence of working rights within Australia (birth certificate/passport/visa)
* National Police Check (completed with the past 12 months)
* Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
