The Planning and Design department is currently seeking a full-time Statutory Planner. As a Statutory Planner, reporting to the Statutory Planning Team Leader, you will deliver first class planning outcomes through the provision of well-considered and consistent Statutory Planning services including decision making, processing, advocacy and general advice.
You will be charged with managing minor developments as well as undertaking general statutory planning duties.
As the successful applicant you will have:
- A degree in Statutory Town Planning, or relevant qualifications/experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective negotiation, problem solving and presentation skills.
The following would be highly desirable:
- Experience using systems such as Objective, MERIT, Property and Rating Application Management or similar.
- Accreditation with the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
- Membership to the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) or Victorian Planning and Environmental Law association (VPELA).
