FourQuarters has partnered with an expanding firm who are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to take a hands-on leadership role. This position combines strong technical accounting and tax expertise with day-to-day practice management, staff supervision, and client relationship management. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations, workflow planning, and lodgement schedules Prepare and review tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships), BAS/IAS, payroll and financial statements Manage a portfolio of SME and not-for-profit clients, including client meetings and advisory support Supervise and mentor accounting and administration staff Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with ATO, TPB and professional standards Drive process improvements, documentation, and operational efficiencies Support client onboarding, practice growth, and business development initiatives About You 5 years’ experience in public practice (business services) CA or CPA qualified (or working towards) Strong hands-on tax and compliance experience Proven ability to manage workflows and supervise staff Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar Solid knowledge of Australian taxation and regulatory requirements Confident communicator with strong client management skill The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a tax accountant looking to step into a leadership-focused role with real influence over practice operations and growth.
