Senior Associate – Transactions & Commercial Advisory

Our client is a respected advisory business with an established track record supporting the planning, procurement and commercial delivery of major infrastructure programs across Australia.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join their Advisory & Transactions team. This is a key appointment for a commercially astute professional who enjoys leading complex transaction workstreams, solving challenging commercial problems and delivering practical advice to high‐profile clients.
Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary project teams, you will support the development and delivery of major transactions from strategy through to market. You will play a critical role in shaping transaction strategies, procurement approaches, evaluation frameworks and commercial structures, while helping clients navigate important project and investment decisions.
The role
You will be involved in the end‐to‐end delivery of major infrastructure transactions and commercial advisory assignments, including:
* Leading components of procurement and transaction processes, including EOI, RFP and contract development
* Developing commercial structures, delivery models and procurement strategies
* Analyzing commercial, financial and risk information to support decision‐making
* Preparing high‐quality transaction documentation, evaluation materials and client deliverables
* Supporting and leading client presentations, evaluation processes and negotiations
* Coordinating multidisciplinary inputs across complex engagements
* Mentoring junior team members and contributing to team capability development
* Supporting client relationship growth and identifying opportunities for further work
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong infrastructure transaction and commercial advisory experience, together with the judgement and stakeholder skills to operate in complex project environments.
You will ideally have:
* Around 10+ years' experience in transaction management, commercial advisory and/or procurement
* Demonstrated experience leading transaction management services from initiation to award on major infrastructure procurements
* Strong capability in transaction strategy, procurement planning and commercial advisory
* Proven experience developing transaction documentation and managing competitive procurement processes
* The ability to translate complex commercial issues into clear, practical advice
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working with senior decision‐makers
* Experience managing complex, multi‐stakeholder assignments and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
* Qualifications in Business, Economics, Law, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline
* Relevant professional memberships and/or senior certifications viewed favorably
Exposure to major transport infrastructure projects, particularly Design & Construct contracts valued above $200 million, will be highly regarded.
