Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the optimal performance of desktop systems.
Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software.
* Provide technical support to end-users on desktop-related issues.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
* Collaborate with network administrators and IT support engineers to resolve technical issues.
* Ensure all desktop systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and security updates.
* Create and maintain documentation on desktop configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
* Train end-users on new software applications and hardware devices.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, such as Windows and macOS.
* Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
* Good understanding of network protocols and configurations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certifications in desktop support, network administration, or IT support.
* Experience with remote desktop support tools.
* Knowledge of mobile device management solutions.
* Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
