About the Role
GSHS seeks applications for the position of Gardener to fill a part time position within the Maintenance department. The position will involve regular and scheduled maintenance, repair works, new capital and equipment and the upkeep of gardens, lawns and similar type works both inside and outside the Health Service buildings on all our sites including hospitals at Korumburra and Leongatha.
About You
The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, be self-motivated, hold a current Victorian Driver’s license, be able to work on their own and liaise with other staff and local trade contractors to complete routine gardening work as directed and to the required standard.
Being physically capable of regular, constant manual labour, lifting and operation of machinery is important to the position. Basic computer skills would be desirable as is good customer relation skills. The ability to operate machinery safely and flexibility in the work to be undertaken is required in the successful applicant.
Participation in annual training and performance appraisal is mandatory within GSHS.
