 
        
        Immediate Start - Disability Support Worker (Complex Care)
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care to a Female Participant with complex, specialized needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in someone's life by delivering tailored, person-centered support in a 3:1 (three staff to one participant) setting. Female applicants are preferred due to the participant's need for personal care.
Position Details:
- Casual position with the possibility of transitioning to permanent part-time after a qualifying period.
- Flexibility to cover 24-hour availability on shifts is preferred, including:
- Morning shifts (6am - 2pm)
- Afternoon shifts (2pm - 8pm)
- Sleepover shifts (2pm - 6am)
As a Support Worker, you will provide comprehensive care to the participant, ensuring their needs are met with respect, empathy, and expertise. Your role will involve a range of tasks, from personal assistance to crisis management, while adhering to the Positive Behaviour Support Plan and promoting the participant's independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Administer and record medication as required.
- Maintain accurate records, including shift notes, incident reports, and other essential documentation.
- Support with domestic tasks such as cleaning and tidying.
- Handle complex or challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Accompany the participant on planned outings and community activities.
Note: The role may evolve to meet the participant's needs and the company's objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A skilled and respectful approach, following management instructions.

- Quick-thinking and effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Competency with technology for extensive reporting requirements.
- Solid attention to detail.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (preferred, but on-the-job training is provided).
- A valid Australian Driver's License.
- First Aid and current CPR certification.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications must be held before commencing employment.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (employer-paid).
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module must be completed before starting work.
- A reliable smartphone with data capabilities.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including overnight care.
