About the Role
The Mental Health Clinician will be a key frontline position within our service.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for delivering brief and ongoing interventions, developing collaborative individual care plans, and providing evidence-based best practice interventions.
* You will work autonomously and collaboratively with other clinicians to participate in planning and development of services for individuals with mental health issues and their families.
* Comprehensive assessment and care planning, as well as participation in clinical review and quality assurance processes, are also essential duties.
* Attend business and professional development meetings, and contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders.
Requirements
* General registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist (with mental health accreditation), or AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Registered Nurse and / or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
* Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions.
* Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning.
* Sound understanding of public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs in a community setting.
* Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records.
* Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality.
* Positive attitude with commitment to participating in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth.
* Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC.
* Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
