Collins Executive Recruitment has been exclusively mandated to appoint an Investment Analyst for a leading real estate investment and development platform based in Melbourne.
This is an opportunity to join a fully integrated property investment business with a substantial national development pipeline and a growing portfolio of managed assets.
The firm operates across multiple sectors including commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential, and has an active pipeline of acquisitions and development projects currently underway.
Working directly with senior leadership and experienced investment professionals, you will gain exposure across the full investment lifecycle - from acquisitions and financial modelling through to capital structuring and portfolio management.
Upon successful hire, you will:
Acquisitions:
* Evaluate new property and development opportunities across commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential sectors
* Build detailed financial models and development feasibility analyses
* Undertake market research, asset analysis and comparable transaction analysis
* Prepare investment papers and presentations for internal investment committees
* Support transaction due diligence across financial, legal and technical workstreams
* Assist with transaction execution alongside external advisers, financiers and consultants
Capital:
* Support the structuring and execution of debt and equity funding across development and investment projects
* Develop financial models and capital structures for financing discussions with lenders and equity partners
* Assist in preparing investment memorandums and capital raising materials
* Monitor project-level capital structures, debt facilities and covenant requirements
* Support relationships with banks, family offices, private investors and institutional capital partners
Funds Management:
* Assist with the management and reporting of property investment vehicles and managed assets
* Prepare portfolio analysis, financial reporting and investor updates
* Support quarterly reporting and investor communications
* Analyse asset performance, valuation movements and return attribution across the portfolio
* Work closely with development and asset management teams to identify value creation opportunities
The ideal candidate will have:
* 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, corporate finance advisory, transaction services or property investment
* Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
* Experience evaluating transactions and building investment models
* Commercial mindset with a strong interest in property investment and development
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
* Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Property or a related discipline
