We're looking for an experienced Web Designer to join us full-time at our Davistown office. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for managing website projects from first brief through to launch, keeping existing client sites updated and running smoothly, communicating with clients directly when needed, and contributing to the systems and processes that keep our business running efficiently. You'll need to be comfortable picking up the phone and having a professional, friendly conversation just as much as you are behind a screen.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Building and managing full website projects in WordPress and Elementor
- Performing updates, maintenance, and improvements on existing client sites
- Communicating with clients via phone and email throughout the project lifecycle
- Applying solid SEO knowledge and web best practices to every build
- Designing visually appealing, user-friendly layouts with a genuine eye for design
- Managing plugins, troubleshooting issues, and keeping sites running smoothly
- Assisting with internal systems and processes to support the wider team
- Working with WooCommerce where required
- Supporting Joomla-based projects when needed
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with WordPress and Elementor (this is non-negotiable)
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them
- A sharp eye for design and attention to detail
- Confident, professional communication skills including phone-based client contact
- The ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
- A willingness to contribute beyond the build and support the team where needed
- WooCommerce experience is a strong advantage
- Joomla experience is a bonus but not required
- Someone who takes pride in their work and fits well in a close-knit team
You'll be joining a business with a genuine reputation on the Central Coast, a loyal client base, and a team that actually enjoys working together. This is not a corporate environment. It's a place where your skills are valued, your input matters, and the work you do makes a real difference to real local businesses.
Mornings here start the right way. The coffee machine gets fired up, someone's already talking about their weekend, and the day eases in before the real work kicks off. There's a shared office Spotify playlist with everyone's fingerprints on it, plenty of banter to keep things interesting, and enough laughs scattered through the day to remind you that work doesn't have to feel like work.
When you need a break, take one. Step outside, get some sun, come back fresh. Raid the goodies drawer while you're at it. We keep it stocked for a reason.
Website Guy has built a reputation for the kind of work that earns genuine five-star reviews from real clients. Do you have the skills, the passion, and the people smarts to keep that standard going and maybe even raise the bar?
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and a link to your portfolio or examples of your work.
