Achieve Something Great

Play a vital role in supporting patient care and hospital operations by joining a dedicated team focused on safety, compassion, and efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference every day safely transporting patients across wards and departments, assisting nursing staff with essential care, and responding to critical situations such as emergency calls and rapid response events. From supporting patient mobility and personal care to assisting during emergencies and ensuring equipment and beds are managed to the highest standard, this role is central to delivering a seamless and patient‐centred healthcare experience.

Are You the Right Fit?

This role is suited to an individual who is dependable, adaptable, and committed to delivering safe, patient‐centred care. A strong understanding of patient handling techniques, personal care support, and the ability to assist nursing staff with tasks such as mobility, hygiene, and observations is essential. Confidence in working across a range of environments including patient transfers, cleaning duties, and mortuary processes while adhering to strict policies and procedures will ensure high standards of care and safety. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise competing demands, and confidence in responding to emergency situations including MET calls, trauma events, and other critical incidents. Experience supporting the management of challenging or aggressive behaviours, handling equipment such as medical gas cylinders, and undertaking logistical tasks such as transporting specimens, documents, and equipment is highly valued. A proactive, team‐focused approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure are key to thriving in this fast‐paced healthcare environment.

Selection Criteria

In your response, outline how you supported the delivery of patient care, applied infection prevention and control practices, and demonstrated safe manual handling techniques in your daily duties.
* Provide an example of how you have worked effectively within a multidisciplinary team while managing competing priorities in a busy healthcare setting. How did you organise your workload, communicate with staff, patients, and the public, and ensure safety, quality, and risk management principles were maintained?

Benefits

* 12% superannuation
* Salary packaging and novated leasing via Smart Salary
* Annual leave with 17.5% leave loading (for full‐time and part‐time staff)
* One extra day off each month for full‐time employees
* Flexible work options, including hybrid and varied hours (depending on the role)
