Overview
The Client: A growing retirement living provider with communities across Victoria. They're focused on quality, safety, and delivering well-presented homes that support positive resident experiences. With further expansion underway, this role plays a key part in maintaining asset standards and driving strong resale outcomes.
The Opportunity
You'll lead refurbishment and reinstatement works across a portfolio of retirement villages, ensuring homes are returned to market efficiently and to a consistently high standard. The role calls for someone who can balance commercial outcomes with empathy and clear communication, working confidently within live, occupied communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver refurbishment and reinstatement programs supporting 70 to 90 resales annually
* Manage contractors, trades, consultants, and suppliers across multiple sites
* Conduct scopes, inspections, variations, valuations, and final sign‐offs
* Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and timeline requirements
* Work closely with village managers, sales teams, and residents to provide clear, respectful communication
* Minimise disruption to village operations and daily resident life
* Ensure compliance with WHS, building regulations, and accessibility standards
* Maintain accurate project reporting, documentation, and cost controls
What You'll Bring
* Experience delivering refurbishment, reinstatement, or planned works in occupied buildings
* Strong understanding of construction and building maintenance
* Confidence in managing contractors and external suppliers
* Calm, empathetic communication suited to elderly residents
* Strong coordination, planning, and problem‐solving capability across multiple sites
* Working knowledge of WHS and site safety
* Qualifications in construction, building, surveying, or project management are beneficial
