Job Description ODM SME – Operational Decision Manager Specialist About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled ODM SME to lead the migration and optimisation of IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) environments. This contract role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a technically complex and high-impact initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, migration, and performance tuning of ODM components in a clustered environment. Key Responsibilities: Environment Setup & Configuration Install and configure WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Liberty (v24.0.0.9 or IBM-recommended) in a clustered setup with high availability and load balancing. Deploy and tune Java Development Kit (JDK) and JVM settings for optimal performance. ODM Deployment Install IBM ODM 9.0.0.1 including Decision Center and Rule Execution Server. Configure clustering, session replication, failover, and apply necessary patches. Set up ODM database schema using Oracle 19c. Migration & Testing Identify deprecated features from ODM 8.8.1.0 and recommend alternatives. Update and recompile rule projects for compatibility with ODM 9.0.0.1. Migrate sample services and conduct functional and regression testing. Document test cases, results, and issues. Troubleshooting & Optimisation Diagnose and resolve migration-related issues. Tune JVM, database, and ODM-specific parameters for performance. Documentation & Handover Provide comprehensive documentation of installation and configuration steps. Conduct failover testing and validate system resilience. Ensure successful deployment and operation of migrated services. Required Experience: Mandatory Criteria Minimum Baseline Security Clearance. At least 5 years of relevant technical experience. Preferred Skills Proven expertise in ODM environments and clustered infrastructure. Strong understanding of Java performance tuning and WAS Liberty configuration. Experience with Oracle 19c and high-availability database setups. Ability to document complex technical processes and conduct thorough testing. What’s on Offer? Contract Duration : Approximately 21 days. Start Date : Mid-August 2025.
