Job Description
Our organization is seeking a dedicated Youth Services Professional to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting young people in developing essential life skills and promoting positive behavior.
You will play a vital role in providing support to children and young people living in our accommodation service, including undertaking household duties as required.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* A Diploma of Youth Work or an equivalent qualification is desirable but not mandatory. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to enroll in the relevant course independently if they do not already meet this qualification.
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply, with a qualification being desirable but lived experience and willingness to participate in training being essential.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation are highly valued.
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families, are also highly regarded.
