The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is seeking a Freedom of Information Officer (Level 4) to play a key role in delivering transparent and efficient access to information under the Freedom of Information Act 1992.

As a Freedom of Information Officer, you will:
* Coordinate and process Freedom of Information (FOI) applications in accordance with legislative requirements.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify and compile relevant information for release.
* Provide guidance to applicants and staff on FOI processes, ensuring clarity and compliance.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of information governance practices.
* You'll bring expertise in interpreting the Freedom of Information Act and related legislation to make informed decisions, along with strong communication and negotiation skills to manage sensitive requests.
* Your ability to think creatively, solve problems quickly, and stay organised will ensure you meet deadlines and deliver excellent outcomes.
