About The Role
As the Head of Department Contemporary Teaching & Learning you will play an integral role in curriculum leadership and developing the quality of teaching and learning by nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
* Strategically seek and implement activities and opportunities for staff and students to engage in identified needs noted through the implementation of the cycles of Collegial Engagement, linking these to the school's Annual Implementation Plan to foster collaborative professional learning.
* Provide leadership and shape the delivery of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) through active development and support for the TOK Coordinator position and line manage Language & Literature and Music educators to ensure academic data is maintained, analysed and shared to enhance achievement of school priority goals.
* Mentor and line manage the Learning Management System (MyQA) Coordinator to drive innovations in MyQA to support the International Baccalaureate principles of academic integrity in an evolving technological landscape.
* Chair the Gifted and Talented Highly Capable Committee, review the Gifted and Talented Highly Capable Action Plan annually and coordinate the implementation and intent of the Plan across the school community.
