JPE is an award-winning design studio working across architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban design. With a strong portfolio across state and local government, education, and commercial sectors, their team of 38 professionals bring expertise from diverse backgrounds and experience.
We're currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their multi-disciplinary studio in Adelaide, to drive the commercial success of the practice.

About the Role
The goal is to provide the practice with timely, accurate, strategic and proactive financial management. Working closely with four Directors and alongside Studio administration, you will ensure the commercial success of the practice through the strategy, planning, execution and management of the following responsibilities:
* Prepare and track annual budgets and monthly finance reports
* Chair monthly finance meetings and provide strategic insights
* Manage cash flow, revenue forecasting, and project invoicing in consultation with project leaders
* Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and debtor management
* Coordinate EOFY activities and ensure compliance with statutory obligations
* Provide accurate WIP reporting and project P&L analysis
* Review and approve client and subconsultant contracts
* Liaise with external accountants, insurers, and legal advisors
* Identify financial and commercial risks and advise on mitigation strategies
* Drive operational excellence and support strategic business initiatives
* Manage and enhance financial systems (Deltek)
* Contribute to technology transitions and future-proofing of business processes
* Support new business activities and entrepreneurial ventures
* Manage external Accountants and Contractors
The Successful Candidate
* CA/CPA qualified or Business degree
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Project Accountant role
* Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach
* Calm, methodical, and meticulous – but with a sense of humour
* Experience in architecture, construction, or engineering is a bonus
* Familiarity with Xero and Deltek desirable
* Analytical and proactive approach to problem solving
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to a broad range of stakeholders
