As a Course Instructor you will provide consistent academic, administrative and motivational support for learners throughout this course. You will lead and support the delivery of comprehensive online delivered programs where students will participate in project-based learning under your supervision.

**What you'll do**:
Assist learners with understanding theoretical concepts, provide real-life examples & stories from extensive experience in industry, host Live Sessions to activate content, host private Mentor appointments to provide individual support and direction, and to enable learners to participate in and complete team based client projects.
- Facilitate engaging online synchronous sessions to a diverse group of learners and guiding them in their asynchronous (independent learning) modules
- Conduct hands on lab sessions with students daily to allow them to put lecture materials into practice to reinforce learning
- Adapt your communication style to reflect and connect with the diverse experiences of participants
- Bring the learning experience to life, building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your extensive industry experience
- Provide relevant and timely feedback to students on formative and summative assessment and on client projects
- Increase participant engagement using different facilitation tactics
- Utilise online classroom management techniques and troubleshooting where necessary with relevant stakeholders at Academy Xi
- Explain complex topics in a non-technical way, patiently when required
- Coach and guide students to be as employable as possible and supporting them to develop industry standard portfolios
- Provide individualised on demand one-on-one support to motivate and support participants to persevere through challenges
- Use feedback from students gathered via class surveys, team members, and students to continually improve.
- Assist colleagues in developing and executing learning interventions that move students forward
- Collaborate with the Curriculum and Teacher Training teams to deliver feedback from students and staff about what resources and improvements would drive the best student experiences
**Who you are**:
Passionate about technology and training, you'll have a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to ensure your student's success.
- You have at least 3 years industry experience working in Cybersecurity or related domains.
- Experience as a trainer (preferably online) will help position you strongly for these opportunities
- You should feel comfortable communicating to both large and small groups of learners and have a desire to coach and guide learners in an empathetic, patient manner
- You are across broad industry and technological trends and able to share your own personal insights with students
- You love to inspire diverse groups of learners and genuinely want to help your group of learners acquire technical skills, behavioural skills, mindsets and employment coaching that will make them valuable employees in the tech sector
- Knowledge and experience/familiarity in some of the following:
- Linux, Windows, Mac OS and their performance monitoring tools
- Wireshark, Command Line Network Tools (SSH, nmap, netstat, etc.), Vulnerability Scanning, Metasploit, Active Directory/LDAP, Network Diagramming
- Cisco, VyOS, PFSense router/switch configuration and administration, Ethernet and wireless networking and related protocols, VPN, remote access, and configurations of end points connected to corporate networks remotely, firewall administration, and digital forensics tools (FTK, EnCase, etc.)
- Predominantly SPLUNK
- Preferred Experience in LogRhythm and Elk Stack
- Fedramp, NIST, HIPPA, PCI, Federal Risk Management Framework.
