Job Description
Account Executives identify new business opportunities as the primary focus of their daily activities while also managing existing customer relationships within a designated territory. They understand customer industry and business needs and strategically sell pathology products/services. The role emphasizes driving revenue and client retention through building consultative relationships, establishing strategic account value, and executing the sales cycle with a high level of service. Overnight travel is approximately 60% (up to 90%).
Responsibilities:
Spend 70% of time prospecting high-volume targets, 20% focusing on client retention, and 10% completing administrative duties.
Act as the single point of contact for assigned customers.
Create strategic business plans and consistently achieve sales quotas while complying with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Grow revenue in the designated territory by prospecting target customers, delivering compelling value propositions, and converting business routinely.
Negotiate agreements.
Maintain expertise in Anatomic Pathology products, especially in Derm, GI, and GU.
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers to exceed performance objectives and customer expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of successful healthcare sales experience (both product and service), with experience calling on and selling to physicians and ambulatory surgery centers; lab experience is preferred.
Strong B2B sales track record, including sales awards.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.
Ability to travel 60% (up to 90%) and work flexible hours.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and drive to succeed.
Ability to develop long-term, profitable client relationships.
Understanding of client relationships with physicians and how to meet their pathology needs.
Decision-making skills for solving problems under pressure and effective communication of solutions.
Quick learner of proprietary software programs.
Customer service orientation—listening to and exceeding client needs.
