System Software Tester/Integrator
We are seeking a skilled System Software Tester/Integrator to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software testing and integration, with experience working in a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for designing and executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and Execute Tests: Design and execute factory and site tests to verify and validate system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and operating scenarios.
* Create Test Cases: Develop test cases through technical analysis of functional and non-functional specifications.
* Support Systems Requirements Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that system requirements are met and validated.
* Contribute to Integration Plans: Participate in the development of test and integration plans to ensure seamless integration of software components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree: Electrical, Electronic, Computer Systems, or Software Engineering or Information Technology.
* Industry Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the rail signalling field.
* Technical Skills: Aptitude for automated testing of integrated systems, strong logical reasoning and problem investigation/solving skills, and extensive software language knowledge for server side, front end, and DevOps.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare test artefacts to a high standard.
