The role Reporting to the Director, Business Services, you will:
- Fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the requirements of the Financial Accountability Act 2009, the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2009, the Financial Accountability Regulation 2009 and the Queensland Health Financial Management Practice Manual.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of all policies and processes/procedures relating to financial management and contract management
- Lead the preparation the office's financial statement and other required departmental reporting requirements and identify and deliver improvements in the Division's finance capability and systems
- Provide high quality support, advice, information and guidance on all matters detailed above within the Division and across the Department to enable informed investment decisions and effective financial management
- Manage and coordinate systems/processes for strategic business management and financial service developments
- Undertake performance appraisals, coach and work with own staff to facilitate their development
- Prepare and review high level reporting and correspondence for senior and executive staff
- Partner and collaborate across the department together with leadership to deliver agreed business outcomes
