SE National is looking for Full-time Diesel Motor Mechanic's to join our Maintenance Team.
Our 1000sq meter workshop is equipped with 2 B-double pits, oil pump and drain systems, overhead hose reels and tyre fitment machines.
Multiple positions are available, with a strong focus on candidates who can work afternoon shiftsand demonstrate flexibility with working hours.
Afternoon shift rates apply.
Key responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing faults of engines and parts and analysing mechanical issues in vehicles.
Perform major and minor repairs as well as the maintenance work on trucks and trailers in accordance with the compliance regulations and company policies.
Repair of worn and defective parts.
Reassembling mechanical components, use of service manuals as required.
Testing and adjusting parts after being repaired.
Carrying out scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, as per our compliance and maintenance systems advise.
Plan with team to correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment.
Diagnosis and testing of parts. (Technical assistance available)
Maintain parts inventory and accurate records for every repair of maintenance work performed.
Inspect our vehicles and issue Roadworthy certificates or correct issues to obtain Roadworthy Certificates.
Attending to breakdowns and service calls.
Minimum Qualification level at Cert IV or Diploma or higher with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
1. Proven experience in trailer servicing and repairs (essential)
2. Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanics
3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to work afternoon shift and flexible hours as required
5. Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and within a team
6. HC/MC licence (desirable but not essential.
