Our two manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
About the role:
Due to major growth and capital improvement, we now have a vacancy for a Maintenance Planning Supervisor. The role is responsible for leading the maintenance planning team to plan the execution of the asset strategy to ensure plant reliability and availability. Working closely with management, the supervisor will coordinate and plan major plant shutdowns and oversee the planning of weekly planned maintenance and shutdowns.
This permanent, full time position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is based at our sawmill located in Bell Bay (Approx. 30 minutes from Launceston).
Your responsibilities will include:
* Actively promote a safety-first culture and ensure that safety is taken into consideration during the planning phase of maintenance work
* Develop, endorse, approve and communicate all maintenance plans and schedules for Tarpeena
* Coordinate and facilitate shutdown/turn-around shut activities
* Manage major planning within the allocated maintenance budget
* Develop and support team goals and objectives that link to business targets.
Qualifications and Qualities you will bring to Timberlink:
* Trade Qualification
* 5 years Maintenance Planning experience
* 5 years supervising or leading a team
* Experience in Timber industry or significant heavy industry / manufacturing
* Major shut down planning
* Excellent Planning & Prioritising skills
* Knowledge of CMMS system (PRONTO) – Desirable
* Ability to lead and engage people through change
* High level of attention to detail
