The Role
We are seeking a professional communications specialist to design and manage communication strategies to promote productive foreign direct investment (FDI) into Australia, aligned to Australia's strategic priorities.
The Senior Communications Adviser role is an ongoing position within the Investment Strategy, Insights and Performance (ISIP) team in Austrade's Investment Division. The Senior Communications Adviser will lead investment communications plans and content, including executive communications, external communications, media, marketing, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement. The role will service the Investment Division, operating as part of the broader ISIP team and work in partnership with Austrade's Strategic Communications and Marketing teams.

Duties Include
* Lead the development of high‐quality communications materials for FDI attraction and promotion: working with a portfolio of onshore and offshore investment teams to create investor engagement collateral, digital and social media campaigns, publications, and case studies.
* Develop and coordinate insightful executive communications to support the General Manager, Investment, and other executives, including social media, announcements, newsletters, stakeholder communications, speeches and presentations.
* Support stakeholder engagement with government agencies and states and territories to ensure a consistent 'Team Australia' narrative in global markets.
* Develop and manage a pipeline of inspiring foreign investment case studies: working with Austrade's content development team to identify and craft news and success stories for the website, social media, and external newsletter.
* Champion Austrade corporate branding and communications practices in the Investment Division: working with the broader Strategic Communications and Marketing team to develop and implement communications campaigns across multiple channels; collaborate with the Nation Brand, Media and Social Media teams to ensure best practices for branding and communications.
* Provide timely communications support to ad‐hoc requests across emerging priorities, as required.
* Provide management oversight of a junior communications adviser.
