TLEA is excited to welcome applications for a Max-Term Draftsperson to join our team at the Kwinana Refinery, working a Monday to Friday roster.
In this key role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed mechanical design drawings that support TLK’s engineering and operational activities. Your contributions will play a vital part in the delivery of capital projects, plant modifications, and maintenance support, with a focus on high-quality 2D and 3D drafting deliverables.

* Prepare and maintain high-quality mechanical and piping drawings (including P&IDs, equipment layouts, fabrication drawings, and general arrangements) to support both capital projects and operational plant changes at TLK’s lithium refinery.
* Update as-built drawings and incorporate redlines from field markups for site-based changes, shutdowns, or maintenance-driven modifications.
* Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, TLK drafting protocols, and QA/QC requirements, maintaining consistency across all drawing packages.
* Update and revise drawings as required during design development, review, and construction stages.
* Participate in design reviews if required and contribute to drafting-related problem-solving.
* Assist preparation of drawing packages for internal reviews, submissions, and construction.
* Support the development of TLK drafting libraries, templates, and CAD standards.
* Maintain drawing registers, revision history, and version control in line with TLK’s document management systems.
* Liaise with suppliers or fabricators for dimensional data when required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Drafting or related discipline.
* 3+ years of experience in a mechanical drafting role within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor. Experience with other 3D software, SolidWorks, is beneficial.
* Ability to interpret and produce drawings from engineering sketches and specifications.
* Understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication techniques, and industry standards.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
* Experience working in industrial, mining, or resource project environments.
* Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., Aconex, M-files, TeamBinder).
* Knowledge of Australian Standards and drafting conventions.
* Basic knowledge of other disciplines (e.g., piping, civil, or electrical) to support cross-functional drafting.
* Exposure to multi-disciplinary projects and working within an EPCM structure.
