The hours of this permanent part-time position are Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 1:30pm, making it ideal for someone seeking regular morning hours.
As a Trainee Sterilisation Nurse, you will primarily focus on sterilisation and infection control, while also gaining hands-on experience in reception support and chairside assisting. There is strong potential to progress into a formal Dental Assisting traineeship and gain an industry-recognised qualification.
About the Role
With comprehensive in-house training, you will learn to:
Sterilisation & Clinical Support
* Safely clean, sterilise and prepare dental instruments
* Maintain strict infection control and clinical safety standards
* Ensure surgeries are fully stocked and prepared
* Manage efficient changeovers between patients
Hygiene Support
* Assist with perio charting
* Participate in daily clinical huddles with the hygienist
Reception & Administration Support
* Welcome patients and provide front desk support when required
* Learn stocktake procedures and assist with ordering supplies
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Reliable, punctual and motivated to learn
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to hygiene and safety
* Friendly, professional and confident communicating with patients
* Adaptable and a strong team player
* Holding a driver’s licence (beneficial due to work hours and locations)
No prior dental experience is required — just the right attitude and willingness to learn.
