A family-owned farm between Dalby and Toowoomba in southern Queensland has a permanent Farm Hand position available. The farm produces dry land grain, pulses, and cotton in a controlled traffic environment.
As Farm Hand, you will routinely operate a variety of large modern GPS guided Ag machines to prepare paddocks, seed, spray and harvest summer and winter crops, and will carry out mechanical and general farm maintenance and seasonal truck driving.
Mechanical servicing and reasonable repair skills and a manual driver's licence are necessary, and an MC truck licence with road ranger experience, welding skills and a chemical accreditation are preferred.
The position is best suited to a reliable, organised self-starter with effective team working and communication skills with experience in a similar position. And if you have strong cropping skills, the farmer will assist you to gain an MC licence and a chemical accreditation.
Accommodation including an electricity allowance is provided on farm to suit your needs. The school bus stop is close by and runs to your choice of primary and high schools. Pets are by negotiation. All your weekly shopping, health care, sporting and recreational needs are catered for under an hour away in Dalby or Toowoomba.
