Our client, a key provider in community mental health services, is seeking a skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) for the role of Mobile Support Clinician in Mental Health Triage. This position is critical in delivering timely and expert mental health assessments, ensuring accessible pathways to care within the Goulburn Valley area.
This role operates within a 24-hour, seven-day per week telephone-based triage service, acting as the first point of contact for individuals experiencing mental health crises. You will perform thorough mental health and risk assessments using the Victorian Mental Health Triage Scale, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with the Emergency Department for urgent referrals. Your expertise will support consumers, families, and professionals by providing guidance on care planning, safety planning, and alternative referral pathways where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include providing mental health treatment aligned with relevant legislation, maintaining high-quality documentation, and upholding consumer rights and confidentiality. The position also involves contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives, staff supervision, and professional development within the team.

Role Criteria
* The ideal candidate will hold current AHPRA registration as a nurse with postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, and possess at least five years' experience in mental health service delivery.
* OR Current registration or ability to apply to the relevant Allied Health Professional association.
* Strong skills in mental health and risk assessment, effective communication, and a commitment to recovery-focused principles are essential.
