Overview
Boral in South East Queensland are currently seeking an experienced
Fitter
to join our mobile team based out of our Wacol Logistics Facility. Reporting to the Logistics Manager and working with the Maintenance Supervisor on a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including performing planned maintenance, minimising production downtime and maximising the equipment efficiency.
Responsibilities
Your day will involve:
Work safely in line with OH&S; procedures and legislation
Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in the continual improvement of maintenance programs
Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock
Fault find, modify and maintain agitator mixers with a focus on up time
Strip and rebuild components to the original specifications and performance as required
Complete documentation to ensure compliance with maintenance programs
Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort
Qualifications
Experience with agitator mixers preferred, but not essential
Strong understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and driven to succeed
Works in a professional manner with a "Can do" attitude
Has an ability to lead and a strong team member with intent to succeed
Overtime hours may be required
