The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific is seeking a high-performing academic to play a major role in the ANU Indonesia Project.


Candidates should have expertise in economics, political science, or public administration with an emphasis on Southeast, Northeast, and South Asia as well as the Southwest Pacific.



Key Responsibilities


* Conduct research and make significant contributions to the ANU Indonesia Project
* Develop and teach courses related to the project's focus areas
* Engage with the Australian and Indonesian governments, businesses, and community through policy analysis and advice



Required Skills and Qualifications


* Ph.D. in a relevant field
* Proven track record of research excellence and publication
* Excellent communication and teaching skills

Position Overview


The Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University is Australia's premier public policy school, renowned for its world-class expertise and experience in economics, political science, and public administration.


The School is part of the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, which leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region.


The ANU Indonesia Project is a long-standing, major international centre for research and graduate training on the economy and society of Indonesia.


The Project monitors and analyses economic development in Indonesia, informs the Australian and Indonesian governments, businesses, and the wider community of these developments, and stimulates research on the Indonesian economy and development.


The position is offered as a full-time, fixed term contract of three years.
