OverviewA1 Access and Rentals are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for a broad range of positions in our business, based in the Northern Territory.Contract type: Casual Position - until the end of 2025 (relocation and ongoing work for the right candidate).
FIFO Position 2:1 roster - Flights, Accom and Vehicle included.ResponsibilitiesPerform in office servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mobile plant, including heavy earth-moving equipment, trucks, generators, small wash plant and light vehicles.Prepare new machines to site specification requirements.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults and attend machine breakdowns on site.Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to diagnose faults and coordinate parts.Major engine and component rebuilds.Candidate Skills & ExperienceRelevant Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent2+ years of fitting experienceExtensive experience working with Caterpillar and Volvo equipment, highly regardedField service experienceExperience working with hydraulicsStrong focus on safety and qualityHeavy Diesel Fitter | FIFO from anywhere!
