* Salary: Minimum$105,000 + based on your experience (Super is in addition to this)

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Accountant / Team Leader to take ownership of a portfolio and lead a team responsible for delivering high‐quality accounting and tax outcomes.
This is a leadership‐first role where your primary focus is overseeing workflow, developing your team, and ensuring consistent delivery standards. You will act as the key point of accountability between your team and senior leadership.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior, intermediate, and graduate accountants
* Take full ownership of your team's workflow, deadlines, and output quality
* Provide ongoing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback
* Build a strong, collaborative in‐office team culture with clear expectations and accountability
Client & Strategic Oversight
* Act as a key point of oversight for your client portfolio
* Support high‐level client discussions, problem‐solving, and advisory work where required
* Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes, processes, and efficiencies
* Contribute to tax planning and strategic decision‐making alongside senior leadership
Technical Oversight
* Oversee and review the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, and compliance work
* Provide guidance across a range of entity types including individuals, trusts, companies, and SMSFs
* Apply strong knowledge of Australian tax areas such as Division 7A, CGT, SBE concessions, FBT, and depreciation
* Ensure all work leaving the team meets a high standard of accuracy and completeness
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in public practice (tax and business advisory)
* 4+ years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role
* CPA or CA qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance and advisory
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team
* High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
* Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Class Super, Now Infinity
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Comfortable working in a collaborative, in‐office team environment
