We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and proactive Family Assistant to support a busy professional family within a beautifully maintained private residence in The Grange, Brisbane. This is a warm and welcoming family of five with three school-aged children (15, 13 and 10), along with two small dogs The role is ideally suited to someone with a positive, can-do approach who takes genuine pride in upholding a high standard of home presentation and organisation. A natural ability to create structure and maintain order is essential, along with the confidence to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of a busy household. Responsibilities will include comprehensive household management and housekeeping such as the upkeep of the home, laundry, organisation, stock control, and occasional errands. Basic meal preparation would be advantageous, and there may be times where light supervision of the youngest child (aged 10) is required. The ideal candidate will be personable, reliable and efficient, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain the home to a high standard, including cleaning and presentation throughout • Assist with general organisation to ensure the home runs efficiently • Laundry duties including washing, ironing and wardrobe care • Ensure bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and linen is regularly changed • Coordinate grocery orderings and maintain household supplies • Run household errands including post office, dry cleaning, and general tasks • Occasional meal preparation and a willingness to learn • Light supervision of youngest child (10 years) when required CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role • Previous private household, yachting or 5-star hospitality background highly regarded • Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation • Organised and efficient with a proactive, can-do approach • Friendly, reliable and trustworthy nature • Comfortable working in a home with family dogs (2x cavoodles) • Strong communication skills • Valid, clean driver’s licence essential • Full Australian working rights • Valid Blue Card and Police Check required • First Aid / CPR beneficial • Excellent contactable references JOB CONDITIONS • 3 - 4 days per week, ideally 12pm–6pm (flexible for the right candidate) • Start ASAP • Salary dependant on experience • Travel contribution available if using own vehicle • Ref: 1605827
