Pimpala Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is seeking a vibrant & passionate Assistant Director to join our diverse team. The Assistant Director will be contracted to a minimum of 25 hours per week, and additional hours are offered during Vacation Care and will be required to open the service in Before School Care as well as close the service in After School Care, working in partnership with the OSHC Director.
Opening Hours
* Before School Care (6:30am – 9:00am)
* After School Care (3:00pm – 6:30pm)
* Vacation Care (6:30am – 6:30pm)
Responsibilities
* The successful applicant will need to support the Pimpala Primary School Values
* Develop authentic relationships with Students, Families and Staff
* Create a connected, secure, stimulating and enriching learning environment, reflective of the Environment as a Third Educator
* Assist with planning, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs for students R-6
* Scaffold an engaging & connected vacation care program, where the children's voice is visible, the community & educators, ensuring a collaborative approach
* Administration Support, to ensure the effective operations of the OSHC
* Work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously when required
* Support the day-to-day operation of the service
* Work collaboratively with school Leadership, OSHC Director, as well as the Governing Council
* Ensure the service is compliant with all regulatory requirements listed in the National Regulations and National Quality Standards
* Being actively apart of the Quality Improvement process, as an emerging document, as well as self-assessment processes and policy & procedure amendments
* Support staff in the safeguarding of children, as well as having sound knowledge of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and Code of Ethics
* Diploma in Outside of School Hours Care/ Diploma in Children's Services/ Bachelor in Early Childhood/Primary Education - ACECQA approved Qualification
* Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care
* Sound knowledge of ACECQA, National Quality Framework, EYLF, MTOP
* Understanding of the code of ethics, child protective practices and safeguarding of children
* Understanding of inclusive Practice

* Understanding of the NQA Portal
