Role
We are seeking a skilled and driven Site Engineer to play a key role in delivering water infrastructure projects across Western Australia. This position will focus on applying strong engineering principles to support project execution while promoting a collaborative, high-performance environment.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient coordination and management of Engineering Works, overseeing activities related to technical operations, engineering, inspections, scheduling, planning, surveying, procurement, and quality control. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role requires close collaboration with onsite teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will not only be part of an outstanding team but will also gain continuous project exposure, fostering the development of technical expertise and project management skills.
FIFO role on a 10:4 roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing construction activities ensuring compliance with design and WA Water standards and specifications.
* Procurement and co-ordination of materials, plant and equipment including raising purchase requisitions and ensuring materials delivered to site are correct, in good condition and in a timely manner so as not to cause delays to the construction program.
* Performing site inspections and observations with respect to health, safety and environmental KPIs.
* Assisting project engineers with development of site documentation including ITPs, SWMSs, JSEAs and Construction Execution Procedures.
* Undertaking quality control inspections and ITP Witness and Hold Point inspections.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in civil or mechanical engineering.
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
* Sound working knowledge of HSEQ requirements and implementation.
* Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others.
* Willingness / ability to work in remote locations as required.
