Administration Trainee (Full-Time)

Based in the heart of the Launceston Seaport, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career through a full-time Administration Traineeship, working within a passionate and dynamic team.


About the Role


As a full-time Administration Trainee, you will be employed while completing a Certificate III in Business (Administration) through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). You will gain practical skills in a busy internal office environment that supports our hospitality venues and accommodation operations.

This is the ideal first step for someone looking to build a long-term career in business administration or hospitality management.


Key Responsibilities


In this role, you will provide valuable administrative support to department heads and contribute to the smooth operation of our group's day-to-day activities:

· Provide administrative assistance to team leads in finance, HR, marketing, and operations

· Support reservation systems, payroll processes, and compliance documentation

· Prepare internal reports, update databases, and maintain filing systems

· Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communication across multiple venues

· Assist with onboarding documents and internal training records

· Answer phones and respond to internal and external emails

· Use business software including Microsoft Office, Tanda, Now Book It, Little Hotelier, and MYOB

· Track procurement and provide basic stock/supply-related admin support

· Assist with marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaign coordination across the group

You will be part of a fast-paced, passionate team at Eski Group HQ, collaborating with:

· Our Executive Team

· Restaurant Managers, Head Chefs and Venue Supervisors at Cataract on Paterson and Rupert & Hound

· Our Accommodation Team managing Georges Bay Apartments

· Our Finance, HR, and Marketing Departments

· A wide range of external service providers and systems specialists

You will be mentored throughout your traineeship and supported by people who genuinely care about your career development.


Learning Opportunities


Your traineeship will combine both theoretical learning and real-world practice, including:

· Use of key hospitality business systems (Tanda, Now Book It, MYOB, etc.)

· Producing professional documents, spreadsheets, and reports

· Scheduling, coordination, and office task management

· Business communication and workplace etiquette

· Assisting with restaurant functions and internal event coordination

· Supporting marketing initiatives and promotional activities

· Understanding workplace safety and industry compliance

· Gaining insight into the operations of hospitality venues and accommodation services


Are You Who We Are Looking For?


· A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· A keen eye for detail and strong organisational habits

· Confidence using basic computer programs

· Ability to work well as part of a team

· Completed Year 10 or above

· No prior Certificate III level qualifications or higher (required for traineeship eligibility)

· Must be an Australian resident to be eligible for the traineeship
