Firefighter Role Overview
This position involves working as a member of a fire crew to respond to various emergency situations such as fires, road crashes and technical rescues. You will be required to operate emergency response vehicles and equipment, provide first aid and resuscitation services where needed, and maintain QFD equipment and facilities to ensure readiness for emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to fires and other emergencies in a professional and timely manner.
* Operate emergency response vehicles and equipment safely and effectively.
* Provide first aid and resuscitation services where required.
* Maintain QFD equipment, resources and facilities to ensure readiness for emergencies.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
* A current valid Blue Card (from Blue Card Services).
* A manual medium rigid (MR) driver's licence recognised by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
* A current Apply First Aid Certificate.
* A current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate.
* Compliance with QFD medical and fitness standards.
* Criminal History Check.
* Clinical Psychometric Assessment.
