Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' pump systems are running efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various types of pump systems, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and submersible pumps.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, performing repairs or recommending replacements as necessary.
Inspect and test pump components, such as bearings, seals, impellers, and motors, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for improvement in pump system efficiency and reliability.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work workplace.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with a specialization in pump servicing.
Strong knowledge of pump systems, including different types, components, and operating principles.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Full Australian working rights
Valid Australian Drivers License
Trade certification or relevant vocational training in Mechanical Fitting.
Experience working with pumps or fluid handling equipment
Familiarity with preventive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
