**Mechanical Fitter**, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' pump systems are running efficiently and reliably.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various types of pump systems, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and submersible pumps.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, performing repairs or recommending replacements as necessary.
- Inspect and test pump components, such as bearings, seals, impellers, and motors, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for improvement in pump system efficiency and reliability.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with a specialization in pump servicing.
- Strong knowledge of pump systems, including different types, components, and operating principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Australian Drivers License
- Trade certification or relevant vocational training in Mechanical Fitting.
- Experience working with pumps or fluid handling equipment
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
