The Role
The role of the Interior Designer requires an ambitious and creative designer with a specialised focus in procurement and fundamental technical abilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our team to design bespoke interiors, with a key emphasis on sourcing, presenting, and procuring furniture and furnishings for our projects.
This role requires a passion for design, time management skills, and a strong interest in sourcing unique and quality furniture pieces. Fundamental documentation skills in Revit, excellent design capabilities and attention to detail are essential for the role.
RMA designs exceptional traditional and contemporary residences across Australia. Based either in Melbourne or Sydney, Interior Designers need to be aligned with RMA's renowned design aesthetic. A willingness and ability to become an expert on our project processes, standards of production and construction documentation is key, as is a desire to contribute to the high standard of design and craftsmanship which the RMA brand is renowned for.
Key responsibilities include progressing projects from concept to design and documentation and completing procurement and installation to offer our clients a complete turnkey service and seamless experience.
Key Criteria
* Fundamental skills in Revit and experience in Microsoft office packages and Adobe
* Design and documentation capability
* Excellent presentation skills
* Demonstrated knowledge of furniture, furnishings and procurement
* Demonstrated creativity and passion for interior design with attention to detail
* Collaboration and Innovation ambitions
* Strong communication, imagination, inquisitiveness, commitment, loyalty and empathy are valued traits
* Willingness to take on responsibilities and participate in a mentorship program
* The ability to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of a project
