Overview
HG Sports Turf is a market leader in the design, construction and maintenance of stadium and elite sports fields. HG Sports Turf has supplied its patented turf systems to many stadiums since 1998, including AAMI Park, Adelaide Oval, Eden Park, GMHBA Stadium, Lakeside Stadium, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Polytec Stadium, Sky Stadium and Suncorp Stadium.
Optus Stadium is a multi-award winning 60,000 capacity all-purpose stadium that hosts a range of national and international sporting events along with concerts and other non-sports entertainment. Key tenants in the venue are West Coast Eagles (AFL), Fremantle Dockers (AFL) and Perth Scorchers (Cricket) whilst the venue has also hosted Bledisloe Cup (Rugby), State of Origin (Rugby League) as well as International Soccer and Cricket events.
Based out of Optus Stadium, the successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance and game day preparation of turf in the stadium and also the production of turf on the farm.

Responsibilities
* Turf maintenance activities, including mowing, fertilising, spraying, irrigation, aeration and rolling
* Turf renovation activities, including seeding, dethatching and coring
* Turf preparation activities, including line marking, setup of sports equipment and presenting the turf
* Match day activities, including being on duty during events as required
* Field change over activities, including sports equipment and line marking
* Testing of the turf and the calibration of test equipment
* Cleaning and servicing of machinery, equipment and tools
* Maintaining clean and tidy office, workshop and storage areas
* Seasonal works at the stadium and turf farm, including the movement of cricket trays, the production of turf and the replacement of turf
Qualifications & Experiences
* Turf management qualification – Certificate III minimum
* Certified and experienced in the safe handling and application of chemicals and fertilisers
* Experienced in the maintenance and preparation of turf for sports
* Driver's License and other licenses as required
* Preparedness to work flexible hours as required
* Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
