Associate Photographer
Domain, a trusted Australian property brand, has joined forces with CoStar Group, a global leader in real‐estate data and technology. We are looking for an Architectural Photographer to create high‐quality media that showcases residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Role Overview
As a member of Domain's world‐class research and media team, you will capture and produce photographs, videos, and 3D walk‐throughs that drive property transactions for millions of Australians each month. Your work will be visible across CoStar and Domain platforms, influencing buyers, renters, and commercial professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce interior and exterior media of houses, apartments, offices, industrial, and retail properties.
* Create engaging videos that highlight standout features of residential and commercial properties.
* Capture 3D Matterport walks, aerial drone footage, and gaussian splat views where possible.
* Develop exterior media for suburbs, parks, and schools.
* Use professional‐grade equipment and software to deliver visually appealing content.
* Travel up to a week per month, with flexibility for on‐site assignments.
* Schedule shoots, manage on‐site interactions, and communicate effectively with clients.
* Edit photography and video promptly to produce final projects.
* Stay current with new techniques and technologies, and participate in team meetings to share ideas.
Basic Qualifications
* Demonstrable professional experience as a real‐estate photographer or similar role.
* Portfolio of real‐estate, lifestyle, and drone media (exterior, interior, and aerial).
* High School Certificate or equivalent, or recent graduate with a Photography concentration.
* 2+ years of professional real‐estate photography and videography experience.
* Full understanding of manual camera settings and lighting.
* Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
* Proficiency with MAC OS and MS Office.
* Current CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks of joining.
* Valid Australian driver's licence and ability to work outdoors year‐round.
* Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 12 kg.
* Full and satisfactory Driving Record Check prior to commencement.
Preferred Qualifications
* Creative problem‐solving for architectural and suburban photography.
* Strong relationship‐building skills with key contacts.
* Flexible, adaptable, with excellent multitasking and time‐management.
* Experience with commercial drone photography.
* Proficient in capturing and editing high‐quality interior and exterior videos.
* Deep knowledge of best practices for architectural photography and artistic vision.
Physical & Travel Requirements
Travel may be required up to a week per month. Occasional night and weekend work is required on a rotating roster. You must be able to drive for up to two hours at a time and work outdoors in all seasons.
