Job Description:
The Role will see you act as the focal point for developing technical and commercial fabrication tender documents, awarding fabrication subcontracts and managing subcontractors to the point of closing out the works. Reporting to the Quality Lead, this position will see you working on the INPEX Ichthys Maintenance Services Project to provide expertise in the preparation of deliverables to successfully support the Project.
This is a full-time permanent position working within a sizable project team. You will be based in the Ventia and INPEX Offices in Perth, Monday to Friday, with travel to Darwin, as and when required.
* Receive and review the engineering drawings and the project requirements, including special conditions, specifications and timelines
* Develop fabrication scope of work documents with all relevant technical, commercial and quality requirements for tender
* Coordinate the RFQ and bidding process, conducting technical clarifications and commercial bid evaluations, and make recommendation of preferred tender for client approval
* Act as primary point of contact for the fabrication subcontracts
* Identify risks that may affect the delivery of the fabricated items or issues that can lead to claims and mitigate impact to cost, schedule and quality, as required
* Manage multiple fabricator subcontractors simultaneously from commencement to closeout (including as a minimum final inspection and delivery)
* Provide technical support to fabricators and work closely with the INPEX engineering team to resolve technical queries in a timely manner
