The Opportunity
This casual role supports the delivery and ongoing compliance of Noumi's Food Safety and Quality systems, processes, and culture. You will play a hands-on role in laboratory testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, working closely with production and quality teams to ensure product safety, quality, and customer expectations are consistently met.
* Conduct routine chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
* Analyse, report, and escalate test results, non-conformances, and delays as required
* Support investigations, root cause analysis, and additional testing activities
* Maintain laboratory GLP, hygiene standards, and equipment care
* Contribute to audits, document control, GMP, hygiene programs, and off-site sample management
* Participate in daily operational meetings and verification activities
* Drive continuous improvement across quality systems, efficiency, and reliability
* Provide training, coaching, and support to promote a strong food safety and quality culture
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Science, Laboratory studies, or equivalent industry experience - highly desirable
* Experience with quality and manufacturing systems; microbiological and UHT experience preferred
* Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, and quality standards
* Able to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
* Flexible, adaptable, and responsive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
