Role Summary
This is a high-impact leadership role that oversees the commercial strategy and execution for the ANZ region.
The Head of ANZ will lead a ~70-person Commercial team with full ownership of commercial outcomes and market growth.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of scaling a developed market and driving rapid growth through new product launches, go-to-market execution, operational efficiency, and strategic partnerships.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the commercial teams across ANZ
* Build and scale a high-performing, execution-focused team through effective talent acquisition, retention, and development
* Foster a high-energy, outcomes-driven culture that prioritizes speed, ownership, and collaboration
* Act as the face of Airwallex in ANZ, building strong relationships with key customers, regulators, media, and external stakeholders at major events and forums
* Own and execute the ANZ regional strategy, driving rapid growth through new product launches, go-to-market execution, operational efficiency, and strategic partnerships
* Partner closely with the global C-suite to align on goals, track progress, and report on key business metrics and team performance
* Manage the full ANZ P&L, with responsibility for revenue growth, gross margin improvement, and cost control
* Proactively identify commercial opportunities and mitigate business and operational risks in a fast-paced environment
* Step in to lead high-priority initiatives or cover critical roles as needed to ensure continued business momentum
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* 10+ years of relevant experience: In the payments, fintech, or tech industry
* Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university: Preferred
* Experience leading and scaling a high-growth start-up: Preferably in a leadership position with direct reports and responsibility over P&L
* Top-tier consulting experience: Proven experience in managing complex projects and teams
