Key Role in Pharmacy Team
This role is a vital member of our team, working closely with pharmacists to provide administrative support for clinic referrals, scheduling, patient communication, reporting and documentation.
About the Team
We operate across all sites and are recognised nationally and internationally for high quality services, education and training programs as well as significant research output. Pharmacists play a critical role in patient management.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist pharmacists with managing patient referral processes and bookings.
* Manage bookings via Cerner software, including initial referrals, confirmations, failures to attend and rebooking.
* Follow policies and procedures when processing referrals and making appointments or managing appointment queues.
* Communicate effectively with patients and their carers.
* Gather and enter accurate data under Alfred Health and government guidelines in a timely manner.
Requirements
* Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
* Previous experience in administration within healthcare settings.
* Familiarity with Cerner Programs or similar electronic medical record systems.
* Understanding and experience supporting outpatient clinics.
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
* Understanding of confidentiality and privacy legislation.
