About the role
We are seeking a dedicated caretaker couple to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Peak Hill, Western Australia facility. This full-time role offers the opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our mining site whilst the production team are on R&R. As part of this position, you will be responsible for a range of duties to ensure the smooth running of our remote operations.
FIFO - 10 days on and 11 days off - FIFO and related travel time in the 10 days on
What you'll be doing
1. Conducting regular site inspections and reporting on the general condition of the property
2. Performing minor maintenance and repair tasks as required
3. Monitoring and maintaining the security of the site, including locking and unlocking buildings
4. Ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the site, including grounds keeping duties and housekeeping of accommodation
5. Responding to emergency situations and liaising with relevant authorities as needed
6. Providing a welcoming presence for any visitors to the site
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience within the mining industry and willing to undergo training to fulfil the requirements of statutory positions.
2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Familiarity with basic maintenance and repair tasks.
