As a contractor to the Australian Federal and NSW governments, Parklife Metro is leading a transformative metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport.
The Parklife Metro (PLM) consortium, comprising Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, is responsible for delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains, and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) package for the Sydney Metro-Western Sydney Airport (SM-WSA) project.
RDWSA will operate and maintain 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills on the Western Sydney Airport metro line for 15 years after the line becomes operational.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role is pivotal in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of RDWSA. You will oversee contract management, ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive value throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities may include:
1. Managing the full contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to compliance with legal, organizational, and industry standards.
2. Reviewing and interpreting contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
3. Leading contract negotiations with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to establish fair and beneficial agreements.
4. Collaborating with legal, procurement, and technical teams to resolve contractual issues, negotiate changes, and finalize terms.
5. Managing contract variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring timely resolution while safeguarding project interests.
6. Assessing the impact of proposed changes on contract scope, schedule, cost, and risk, and negotiating necessary adjustments.
7. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to contract performance, compliance, and execution, including financial, legal, and operational risks.
8. Preparing reports, updates, and performance assessments on contractual activities for senior management decision-making.
9. Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, industry regulations, and best practices in contract management.
10. Overseeing cost control, forecasting, and reporting to support financial and operational decision-making.
11. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
