CELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major Defence construction project in Darwin, NT.
This is a hands-on, site-based engineering role supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure works on a secure USDoD-aligned project. The successful candidate will provide strong technical leadership onsite and ensure engineering, construction, quality and compliance requirements are delivered safely and efficiently.

About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager / Project Manager, the Senior Site Engineer will provide technical leadership across site activities and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading site‐based engineering delivery across civil, structural, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical works
* Reviewing and verifying constructible engineering solutions and methodologies
* Resolving technical and constructability issues in live construction environments
* Supporting daily site engineering activities and sequencing of technical work packages
* Coordinating engineering works with construction teams, subcontractors and project management
* Driving quality assurance processes including ITPs, inspections and test plans
* Supporting risk management and resolution of design–construction conflicts
* Ensuring alignment with Defence, contractual, WHS and environmental compliance requirements
* Acting as a technical interface with clients, consultants and delivery partners
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in construction engineering and site‐based project delivery.
Key requirements include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or related discipline)
* 8+ years experience in construction engineering, including site‐based roles
* Demonstrated experience working on complex construction or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of QA systems, compliance and engineering governance
* Proven ability to manage technical issues in live construction environments
* Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
* Experience working on Defence, government or high‐compliance projects
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or currently progressing toward chartership
