Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the area of clinical specialty and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
Respond appropriately to sudden alterations in the health status of the patient using comprehensive nursing assessment and intervention skills.
Use advanced level communication and interpersonal skills, incorporating the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all levels across the organisation to promote effective team functioning.
About your opportunity: In this position you will....
Implement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, work health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area.
Provide leadership to effectively assess, plan, manage and evaluate patient care activities at an advanced practitioner level within the specified clinical setting.
Accurately conducts comprehensive and systematic assessments, analysing information and data and takes action based on this information communicating outcomes as the basis for practice.
About your role: Accountable for own decisions/actions, behaviours and standards including monitoring and evaluating activities delegated to others.
Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective patient care in line with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Apply contemporary human resource management principles to ensure that the unit working environment meets legislative standards and CHHHS policies and procedures.
