Australian Veteran Health Services (AVHS) is expanding our Allied Health department, and we’re seeking an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) to join our multidisciplinary team at our Deakin Clinic. About the Role
You will deliver evidence‑based dietetic services including comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, nutrition education, and ongoing intervention.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care tailored to the needs of veterans with chronic and complex conditions
* Work autonomously while collaborating closely within a multidisciplinary setting
* Contribute to the development of nutrition components within clinical programs
* Support care pathways, documentation standards, and clinical governance requirements
* Participate in program development as our Allied Health department expands
This role is perfect for an experienced clinician who thrives in a part‑time, independent position and enjoys shaping a service from the ground up.
About You
* Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with current AHPRA registration
* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a practising Dietitian
* Experience supporting adults with chronic and complex conditions
* Strong time‑management skills and confidence working autonomously
* Excellent communication and electronic medical record proficiency
* Experience working with veterans
* Knowledge of DVA processes and requirements
* Experience in multidisciplinary primary care settings
* Understanding of clinical governance and accreditation standards
Position Requirements
* Legal working rights in Australia
* Current AHPRA registration
* Current CPR, National Police Check, and immunisation compliance
